See our recommendations below for initial set-up of servers functioning as parts of АСР «Гидра». Depending on the level of difficulty of an installation, for the operation of Hydra, you can use either one or several servers (for example, when there may be separate servers for the Main Hydra DB, web applications, a RADIUS server, etc.).
RAID Configuration
The preferable option is to use RAID-10 (1+0). For installations with 10K+ subscribers, using RAID-10 is obligatory. On the other hand, using RAID-0 or RAID-5 is highly unrecommended.
OS Install Package
For all types of servers — Debian Linux 8 (Jessie). OS is to of the latest stable version, 64-bit.
